The test principle

The water vapor transmittance detector adopts the principle of infrared method. The pre-processed sample is fixed in the middle of the test cavity, the test cavity is divided into high humidity cavity and low humidity cavity, compressed air flows in the high humidity cavity, dry nitrogen (carrier gas) flows at a fixed flow rate in the low wet cavity. Due to the existence of humidity gradient, the water vapor, through the water vapor of the sample is carried by the flowing dry nitrogen to the infrared sensor, and the parameters such as the water vapor transmittance of the sample are obtained from the electrical signal output by the sensor.
